Congratulations to the CT speech and debate team. They recently placed second overall at the Colorado Cup and senior Abby Snogren tied for first in the Individual Sweepstakes. Also, four more awesome students qualified for the National Individual Events Tournament of Champions! Good job guys!

Currently session B sports is underway. There will be no spectators permitted at these events. Also, registration for season C sports opens today, February 1st and closes the 25th. These sports include field hockey, gymnastics, boys soccer, unified basketball, and volleyball. 

 Save the date for the Stream-a-Palooza on April 10th 2021. This is a streamed STEAM event including design challenges, live science demonstrations, cardboard creations, robotics, and coding. 

 Need help with math? There will be a teacher-led tutoring session for algebra 1 and geometry students every Tuesday through Friday from 2:00-3:30pm. To sign up, go to the CTHS website, click on the academics tab, Cherokee Trail remote learning and tutoring resources, then tutoring. Once you fill out the form a math teacher will send you a Teams meeting link for the days you are home. 

Reminder all juniors who want to take the SAT essay portion must register before February 16th! For more information and to sign up visit SAT.org.

Model UN allows students to represent a country’s position in the United Nations as they meet in councils and attempt to solve global issues. If you’re interested please email Ms. Rankens at [email protected] to get added to the Model UN schoology page! Meetings are the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month after school via Teams.

Our mascot is competing in a TikTok dance competition against the other schools in the Cherry Creek school district! Make sure to visit the district’s page at wishweekshowdown21 and use the link in their bio to vote for our mascot! The bio also includes a donation link that will go towards each school’s Make a Wish. Voting closes on Friday, February 5th!
