Anayla Apolinar, Team Leader
This is Anayla Apolinar’s second year in digital media and also her first year as a team leader. She is in her senior year and was born in Miami, Florida before moving to Aurora, Colorado in 2017. With her previous experience and recognition from the Colorado Student Media Association, Anayla Apolinar hopes to capture and share many stories with Trail Media. One of her favorite things about being a part of the digital media team is interviewing people; she loves to touch base on different topics while gathering different perspectives. As a team leader, Anayla Apolinar is looking forward to using her leadership skills to help guide the process of storytelling.

Kegan McLaughlin, Team Leader
Kegan McLaughlin, a class of 2027 junior, is embarking on his second year as a staff Trail Media staff member and his first year as a team lead in the class. From his experience during his first year on media staff, where he honed his skills in both writing and editing, McLaughlin is ready to take on the challenges that being a Trail Media team lead will hold. McLaughlin wanted to join digital media since his freshman year. During his time in Intro to Journalism, he loved having the ability to tell stories about the people in the CT community that otherwise would never be heard, and he wanted to have that experience more throughout his high school experience. Outside of being a member of Trail Media, McLaughlin has been playing the guitar for over two years and plays rhythm guitar in his band VnV.

Abe Mayoras, Staff Reporter
Abe is a junior entering his second year on the staff of Digital Media. He looks forward to getting to know his peers better and filming the fun things happening around CT. He enjoys reading, video gaming, playing hockey, and hanging out with his friends.

Richie Nguyen, Managing Editor
Richie Nguyen is a Senior and he is an Editor for Trail Media, having been on staff for almost 2 years now. He wants to create a meaningful impact within his stories here at CT. Nguyen joined Digital Media because he wanted to use his voice to empower those who aren’t heard.
Excluding Digital Media, Nguyen is the president of AAPI Student Association and a part of the Orchestra program. He plays the violin and has been playing for almost 7 years now.
Beyond CT, Nguyen is also a part of the Rocky Mountain AANHPI Student Coalition, a nonprofit highlighting AANHPI voices across the state. As the year passes, Nguyen hopes to create change as his legacy before he graduates.
