Anayla Apolinar, Team Leader
This is Anayla Apolinar’s second year in digital media and also her first year as a team leader. She is in her senior year and was born in Miami, Florida before moving to Aurora, Colorado in 2017. With her previous experience and recognition from the Colorado Student Media Association, Anayla Apolinar hopes to capture and share many stories with Trail Media. One of her favorite things about being a part of the digital media team is interviewing people; she loves to touch base on different topics while gathering different perspectives. As a team leader, Anayla Apolinar is looking forward to using her leadership skills to help guide the process of storytelling.

Kegan McLaughlin, Staff Reporter
Kegan McLaughlin is a class of 2027 sophomore and is a member of the Trail Media staff. This is McLaughlin’s first year as a staff member. Because of his experience in Intro to Journalism and other smaller media classes such as Photography in 8th grade, McLaughlin is ready to take on the challenges that being a Trial Media staff member will hold. McLaughlin wanted to join digital media because, in his freshman year in Intro to Journalism, he loved the class and the freedom of expression it gave him and wanted to have that experience more throughout high school. Outside of being a member of trial media, McLaughlin plays the guitar and sings he even used to be the lead singer in a band.

Abe Mayoras, Staff Reporter
Abe Mayoras is a first-year Digital Media team member. He has experience coming from video production and has some experience working with cameras and prefers to be behind the camera instead of in front of it. He plays high school hockey and enjoys reading, video games, biking, and hanging out with his friends.

Richie Nguyen, Managing Editor
Richie Nguyen is a Senior and he is an Editor for Trail Media, having been on staff for almost 2 years now. He wants to create a meaningful impact within his stories here at CT. Nguyen joined Digital Media because he wanted to use his voice to empower those who aren’t heard.
Excluding Digital Media, Nguyen is the president of AAPI Student Association and a part of the Orchestra program. He plays the violin and has been playing for almost 7 years now.
Beyond CT, Nguyen is also a part of the Rocky Mountain AANHPI Student Coalition, a nonprofit highlighting AANHPI voices across the state. As the year passes, Nguyen hopes to create change as his legacy before he graduates.
