How to: Make Pumpkin Cookies

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, families have started to make different desserts for the event. Pumpkin has always been a staple ingredient in Thanksgiving dishes. This video will teach you have to make the perfect pumpkin cookies for the Thanksgiving season!

Ingredients: 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon baking powder 1 teaspoon baking soda 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg ½ teaspoon ground cloves ½ teaspoon salt ½ cup butter, softened 1 ½ cups white sugar 1 cup canned pumpkin puree 1 egg 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 cups confectioners’ sugar 3 tablespoons milk 1 tablespoon melted butter 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt in a bowl and set aside. Next, in a mixing bowl slowly cream the butter and sugar together. Then add in the pumpkin, egg, and vanilla to the butter mixture. Mix till creamy. Slowly add in the dry ingredients. Get a baking sheet and place the dough by the spoonful. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven.While the cookies are baking, prepare the glaze by mixing together the confectioners’ sugar, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Once the cookies are done baking, let them cool and then drizzle the glaze.
