CT Announcements: Week of 2-8

This week is Wish Week! Make sure to support our school by visiting these restaurants to raise money. Today is Chipotle, Tuesday is Mod Pizza, Wednesday Noodles and Company, Thursday SmashBurger, and Friday is Firebowl Cafe. Visit the Cherokee Trail Website for more information regarding what time and where the restaurant is located.

Along with the restaurant nights we have spirit days and events this week. On Tuesday and Wednesday it’s chemical compound day! Twin with your friends and participate in Delany’s Dash. Then on Thursday or Friday wear this week’s wish week shirt and participate in jeopardy hosted by CT’s amazing DECA students.

Have you grown your hair out during COVID? Well, you’re in luck! This month CT and the community determines who can make the cut and donate their hair to children who have medically-related hair loss. Your hair must be at least 8 inches or longer. If you are interested please email [email protected]

Zach Fitzjarrell, a junior here at CT has recently just passed the Solidworks Certified Expert Exam for Simulation. Zach is the only person in the world who has earned this certification while still in high school. Overall, he has received 18 Solidwork certifications and 10 were received since we went remote last March. This accomplishment has only been achieved by a handful of Solidworks users around the world. Congratulations Zach!

Another congratulations to CT’s Speech and Debate team for placing second overall in the overall sweepstakes!

If you’re interested in watching CT’s basketball or wrestling team you can watch them on the NFHS network live-stream. You must pay a subscription fee to watch these events, more info can be found with the link in the description. If you’re interested in watching girls swimming, there will be a live-stream of home events recorded by a volunteer and put on the CT Swim and Dive Facebook page. https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/search?query=cherokee%20trail

Reminder that 12th grade students should be accessing their ICAP curriculum virtually via Schoology and scheduling their remote senior conference with their own counselor. Visit the Cherokee Trail postgraduate website for ongoing updates regarding ICAP and life after high school.

If you ordered and paid for a Cougar Nation shirt, visit the activities office with your student ID to pick it up.

Parent Teacher conferences have been set for February 18th from 4-8:30pm. This year they will be virtual via teams, more information will be coming soon.

If you want to be a part of the CTTV family, make sure to register for Intro to Video Productions! We would love for you to join!

Remember that next Monday is Presidents Day so we don’t have school on Monday or Tuesday! Have a nice long weekend!
