Teachers guide the future leaders of our world. Orchestra director Kyle Rupley leaves the school after many years of teaching. The impact that he had spread across the school: the orchestra program, the performing arts department, and many student musicians. Rupley will forever be important and remembered by students and staff.

Richie Nguyen, Staff Reporter
Richie Nguyen is a Junior and this is his first year being a part of digital media. He hopes to empower voices and give a platform for stories that aren’t obvious here at CT. Excluding Digital Media, Nguyen is part of the Business program and Orchestra program. He plays the violin and has been playing for almost 6 years now. He loves music from playing to listening in his free time. Nguyen also started the first AAPI Student Association and hopes to continue running the club until he graduates. As the year passes, Nguyen will work towards making enriching stories and giving a voice to those who aren’t heard.

Ella Carter, Staff Reporter
Ella Carter is a new member of the Trail Media Program. She is now in her junior year here at Cherokee Trail. Carter joined Trail Media to spread the word about stories that might be traditionally overlooked throughout the school. She plans on pursuing mass communications and sports broadcasting in college.
Other than Trail Media, Carter is on the varsity softball team and a flutist in the wind ensemble at the school. She loves hanging out with her teammates and making everybody feel included and appreciated.
Carter is excited to see what the future holds and where her opportunities will take her!

Anayla Apolinar, Team Leader
This is Anayla Apolinar’s second year in digital media and also her first year as a team leader. She is in her senior year and was born in Miami, Florida before moving to Aurora, Colorado in 2017. With her previous experience and recognition from the Colorado Student Media Association, Anayla Apolinar hopes to capture and share many stories with Trail Media. One of her favorite things about being a part of the digital media team is interviewing people; she loves to touch base on different topics while gathering different perspectives. As a team leader, Anayla Apolinar is looking forward to using her leadership skills to help guide the process of storytelling.
