It is time to “switch” it up, and talk about something that is in headlines everywhere. Yes, Nintendo’s hottest new console has hit the shelves, out selling the Wii in the Switch’s first week of launch.

Nintendo hit the ball out of the park with their Wii selling over 101.63 million consoles in its whole lifetime. People will not know how many Switches have been sold until Nintendo’s end of year conference in late April. All we know is that the Switch is being called the “fastest selling console in history” by The Telegraph.

The world has not seen anything like this from Nintendo, ever. The main selling point of this console is that people can take their favorite console games on the go and not have to stop playing. When you first open your switch you are immediately greeted with the main tablet (aka the Switch) and two Joy-Con controllers. As you continue to dig into the box you will find the standard paperwork, cables to get the Switch’s dock power and connection to the TV, the Joy-Con Grip ,and of course you get the dock itself that allows you to play your favorite Switch games on your TV. When you are ready to play on your TV, dock your switch then remove your Joy-Cons. Then you can use the Joy-Con controllers alone, you can connect Joy-Cons to the Joy-Con grip which makes it feel like you are holding a Xbox controller, or you can buy the Nintendo Switch Pro Controler.

When you are ready to leave then slide your Joy-Cons back onto the correct sides of the console and then just pick it up and go. Yeah, it is that simple, and you pick right back up where you left off. You don’t need to turn it off, or stop playing the game at all!

Not every game will be available for the Switch right now but if you want to know what games are available or are on there way here is the list Nintendo Switch’s games. Please know that this list is not complete and more games are on their way.

Is the Switch worth $300? Everyone that we have talked to says that it is totally worth it. Now you need to ask yourself is this the right system for you, or is this the right time to get one? I would wait until more games come out until I would go out and buy it, but hey that could just be me.
