CT Cusine: Weekly Wednesday grilled cheese

CT+Cusine%3A+Weekly+Wednesday+grilled+cheese

With music already playing as you step foot within, and friendly staff members, it is safe to say the church has an exciting atmosphere. There are large round tables for students to sit, and the tall ceiling makes the whole place very open. Usually, you can find students playing basketball, talking with one another, listening to music, or playing games in a dedicated section on the second floor.

Most seniors can remember Grilled Cheese Wednesday being established before they got here. Although not a restaurant, Eastern Hills Community Church has a significant role within CT’s culture, especially on Wednesday, as it turns into a hangout spot to get a quick grub with your friends.

There is usually no line when getting a grilled cheese, even the rare lines are swiftly taken care of by the friendly staff and the ready-to-made grilled cheese. The grilled cheese is served on paper plates, allowing students to consume it on the go. The church offers great value for time-conscious high schoolers.

Eastern Hills Community Church is one of the closest establishments near CT, taking around 5 mins to walk to. Though the popular route there has a bit of an incline, it’s not that hard for most people. Though the route is hard for people with disabilities, the church itself is accessible to everyone.

The classic grilled cheese, buttered, golden brown, and that savory American cheese, it’s nothing special but the church does all of these right, serving a childhood favorite of most kids. Though not fancy the sandwich brings a wave of nostalgia when eating it. They also have condiments, like sriracha and ketchup to cut down the savoriness of the grilled cheese.

One of the most important factors for lunch is probably price, and it’s the main selling point for the church, as they serve grilled cheese and give access to their facility for free, every Wednesday.

The church offers a weekly breather for students to go and socialize with other students. It is a great place to get a quick free lunch and have fun with friends.
