Zach Morrato, Staff Reporter
Zachary Michael Morrato, an avid programmer and video game enjoyer, is a journalist in the Cherokee Trail Newsroom reporting on unique individuals and stories around the campus. Growing up with a passion for technology and the desire to learn more about the growing world, Zach developed a big interest in programming and video game development. Already having multiple nods to his work, Zachary hopes to build a career off of this in his up-and-coming future.
Zachary is originally from Aurora and has lived in Colorado his whole life and has been around the area. As a young child, he could never be separated from his iPad and Nerf Guns. He developed a love for technology and learning at a young age as well. He has always been a more independent person, which has helped him be able to have such strong passions and interests. Zach’s personal life includes a lot of relaxing, playing video games, and procrastinating on his homework. Although he is a “huge procrastinator,” he previously won three awards his freshman year for his grades along with being on the honor roll. Zach enjoys mainstream radio music and has always had a knack for journalism.
While it is Zach’s first year as a part of the Trail Media team, he has big aspirations and ideas that he brings to the table. His main role in the newsroom is being a reporter for the community in and around Cherokee Trail. Having a big emphasis on spreading positive news that will bring up critical thinking, Zach hopes to create interesting stories.
