Kenna Shenk, Staff Reporter
A girl as relaxing as watching tv and as fast as making quick decisions, Kenna Miley Shenk. When [her mom] was watching The Price Is Right She heard the name Kenna and fell in love with it instantly. Kenna’s middle name Miley is based off of Miley Cyrus.
Kenna is no morning person: she is grumpy and quiet and very much to herself when waking up. In contrast, Kenna is a real night owl, she “[loves] to talk” and be a part of the know, “I am willing to do anything and everything” said Kenna Shenk (11) later into the night.
Dancing is her calling and true love. Not only did Kenna grow up but she did it with dance. Boys had their ups and downs and knowing “She’d cried over a boy instead of a movie” Kenna realized she wasn’t the little girl she thought she was.
When it comes to family Kenna is close with her younger sisters, she feels a deep and nostalgic connection with them considering they experienced similar struggles as she did.
When Kenna's mind is bored and has nothing or no one to hang out with, she'd log in and create whatever her mind comes up with in Minecraft.
Kenna isn’t Kenna without cheez-Its. Her comfort food and home meal would be none other dish than her “moms five cheese mac and cheese”. When growing up and even today Kenna is a very mindful and Imaginative person so when circumstances come down to it taking her books and iPad away would be her worst nightmare.
Having a great future on the way to get “every color hair I have ever wanted [and] getting offered many scholarships for dance” she chooses to be on staff first. Her goal is to meet new people, to connect with others, to build bonds with her teachers, and to learn how I can be a more welcoming approachable person throughout this school year.
