Kadee Green

Kadee Green, Staff Reporter

From the words “You’re gonna be a big sister” to “Can you please switch out her G-tube," Kadee Green learned how to use medical tools as she was still holding Lamby, her childhood stuffed animal.

Her life changed after the first hospital visit, but the thing that stayed consistent was Lamby. Lamby has gone with her from hospital bed to hospital bed, seen nurse after nurse.

Although Kadee was very young her nurturing personality began to flourish, she learned to set aside her own needs apart from others.

Soon after Lamby began to fade. She no longer needed her by her side.

She grew up.

She still needed an escape from the hospital trips, but was unsure of what she wanted to put her time and effort into. She tried soccer, dance, and even baking, “Honestly, everything I tried I got bored of after time” Kadee Green (10)

She kept losing interest in each hobby so fast that she almost gave up. That is until she designed her yearbook cover in elementary school.

She realized that she can get her words across without having to speak any. This soon became her new Lamby.

She knew it would always be there and she could depend on it. She decided to start expanding her passion and found journalism which then lead to videography.

Videography became a new passion of Kadee's and she put all of her time and effort into it. She was proud of what she was creating and she noticed that she could start to connect with other people through these news packages. Soon her life had new meaning to it.

Her light begun to shine again after the hospitals had dulled it. Her inner elementary schooler was jumping up and down shocked that they finally found something she loved.

Kadee was Kadee again and she always will be.
